"Verein für Menschen in Not e. V." is a German non-profit charitable organization established in October 2008. See details on our "About us" page.

Our purpose is to provide supports to people in difficulties, not caused by their own responsibility, not in controllable situation, in Germany or in other countries, such as sick children, people suffers from national disaster, etc. We get information, decide the project and support.

Our principle is to support the people in trouble and in need immediately and directly.

Nobody can save the whole world but we still believe every long trip will start with the first step. We also believe in the power of "Network" Our small organization is located in a small town in northern Germany : People in the town or neighboring towns, in other German counties or even in overseas countries are offering their help to our first project, "Help Gathoni".

With all the respects to the well established existing charitable organizations in the world, we prefer to stay a small organization to take the fist step, run on only on voluntary base.

In the past, we ran several charities, such as donation of welfare purpose vehicle or supports to the area suffered by natural disasters. To be fair to the people who donate or are ready to donate, we decided to establish an association, so that we are able to issue the receipts for donation - and ask for people's help for wider range. The idea actually was raised during conversations with highly-reputed professionals to carry out the project Gathoni.
